Ignore my uber creepy struggle-dictator vibes and instead focus on the Justo Gimeno reversible in plain sight.
Cut in a ‘front heavy’ (as Jake from The Armoury HK put it) style, this rustic overcoat comes with a crisp and weighty tweed side. The reverse is a gabardine-esque cotton, similar to the kind one would find in military raincoats. While I cannot confirm whether the cotton facing is waterproof, it has held up admirably in the inclement weather that permeates China this time of year. Generous through the sleeve, it has proved easy to wear - in large part also due to its relative weightlessness - and I cannot wait to layer with it over some more traditional tailored clothing.
Worn with Club Monaco foulard, happy Chinese New Year everyone.
